SDF reaches agreement with Damascus interim administration

	NEWS CENTRE - SDF General Commander Mazlum Abdi and the Damascus interim president reached an agreement on many important issues, including the guarantee of all constitutional rights of the Kurds and the integration of military and civilian institutions into the general administration. 

	A meeting was held between Mazloum Abdi, the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and Ahmed al-Shara, the leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which was announced as the head of state of the transitional government in Syria.

	 

	According to the text of the agreement, which bears the signatures of SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi and the head of the Damascus Authority, Ahmad Al-Shar’a, the agreement consists of the following articles:

	 

	"*Ensuring the rights of all Syrians to representation and participation in the political process and all state institutions based on competence, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.

	 

	*Recognizing the Kurdish component as an integral part of the Syrian state and guaranteeing its citizenship rights and all constitutional entitlements.

	 

	*Ceasefire implementation across all Syrian territories.

	 

	*Integration of all civil and military institutions of NE Syria into the administration of the Syrian state, including border crossings, airports, and oil and gas fields.

	 

	*Guaranteeing the return of all displaced Syrians to their towns and villages while ensuring their protection by the Syrian state.

	 

	*Supporting the Syrian state's efforts in combating remnants of terrorism and all threats to its security and territorial integrity.

	 

	*Rejecting calls for division and all forms of hate speech or incitement aimed at sowing discord among the components of Syrian society.

	 

	*Establishing executive committees to work toward implementing the agreement before the end of the current year."
