Mass grave in Mosul 2025-08-17 12:18:45   NEWS CENTER - A mass grave believed to contain the bodies of Êzidî (Yazidi) citizens massacred by DAESH in 2014 was opened in Mosul's Hasfa Cemetery.    According to a report by Rojnews citing Iraqi media, a mass grave believed to be from the DAESH massacre was opened in Mosul. Sources reported that special teams opened a mass grave in the Hasfa Cemetery in Mosul in the morning and found the bodies of many people massacred by DAESH  in the grave. The mass grave in question is one of the largest graves.   It is stated that all the bones in the mass grave may belong to the Êzidî citizens who were massacred by DAESH in 2014. The bones will be sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute in Baghdad for identification.    DAESH had carried out massacres in Iraqi territories, especially in Shengal in 2014, kidnapped thousands of people and massacred hundreds of them. There are still dozens of unopened mass graves of Êzidîs in Iraq.
