DBP employee electrocuted, tortured under custody, threatened with nude photos

DİYARBAKIR - DBP Employee Azad Polar told that he was tortured at the Cizre Security Directorate, electrocuted and threatened with nude photos the police took.
 
Democratic Regions Party (DBP) employee Azad Polat was detained after a warrant was issued against him, while he was travelling from Cizre to Silopi on March 18. Explaining what he has been through at the Cizre Security Directorate to Mesopotamia Agency (MA), Polat said he was tortured at the Cizre Security Directorate for 4 days, electrocuted and his nude photos were taken by the police, who later threatened him with these photos.
 
TORTURE
 
Polat told that he was taken into custody while he was travelling, he was removed from the bus by the police who handcuffed him behind the back. Stating that he wasn't informed on what grounds he was detained, Polat said the police asked for the pin code of his phone and they beat him because he did not tell. Polat said: "They started kicking me when I rejected to tell them my pin code. They trampled me. I was tortured there for 25 minutes."
 
THEY ELECTROCUTED ME
 
Telling that he was taken to the basement after a while and a police told' Go rape him!" Polat said: "They took my jeans and shirt off.They kept on kicking and torturing me. They banged my head against the wall. I couldn't see the people who was torturing me. They electrocuted me. They took my pictures while I was naked."
 
I WASN'T GIVEN AN ASSAULT REPORT AT THE HOSPITAL
 
Explaining that he was taken to the doctor while he still head bruises and swelling on his head, the doctor rejected to give him an assault report, Polat said the doctor told him he didn't see any bruises. 
 
'THE PROSECUTOR DIDN'T LISTEN TO US'
 
Stating that the prosecutor did not listen to him even though he told about the torture, Polat said: "Although I told the prosecutor that I had been tortured for two hours, he sent me to the court with a request for judicial control and a ban to travel abroad. I told what I had been through at the court. They just released me after all that torture."
 
APPLIED TO IHD
 
Polat applied to the Human Rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakır Branch for the torture he was subjected to.Polat said these kinds of things always happens and he is used to it.
