The statement issued under the title "Civilians must be protected under all circumstances" emphasised that the attack on civilians was a clear violation of international law.

In the latest attack in Tishreen Dam, six civilians, including Kurdish theatre actor Cuma Xelil İbrahim (Bavê Teyar), were killed and fifteen civilians were injured. We wish Allah's mercy to the theatre actor Bavê Teyar, who has a serious love in the Kurdish society, and the civilians who lost their lives, and a quick recovery to the wounded. This attack against civilians is a clear violation of international law. Protection of civilians in conflict is an international obligation. The Geneva Convention and humanitarian law must be respected.
