NEWS CENTER- The Autonomous Administration stated that the war and conflicts in the coastal regions of Syria did not bring a solution and called for dialogue with the participation of all components.
The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria made a statement regarding the ongoing clashes between armed groups and Damascus government forces in Latakia, Tartus, Idlib, Homs and Daraa.
The statement reads: "Tensions and clashes are escalating in Syria, particularly in the coastal region, between forces affiliated with Damascus authorities and military groups in the area.
We, in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, while expressing our deep concern and sorrow over the events in the coastal region, emphasize that the root cause of this escalation is the Syrian authorities’ misreading of the reality on the ground and their failure to consider the sensitivity of the situation in Syria, especially its diverse components and communities. This escalation is dragging our country to the brink of disaster and may lead to massacres against our Syrian people. We call on all parties to act with wisdom, exercise restraint, and halt this escalation, which will only deepen divisions among Syrian national forces. Ultimately, it is the Syrian people who will bear the cost of these contradictions.
We have repeatedly affirmed that Syria needs a genuine national dialogue to discuss ways to ensure stability and resolve the ongoing conflicts and issues among Syrian forces. We have also stated that dialogue is the only path to building a Syria that fulfills the hopes and aspirations of all its people, regardless of their backgrounds.
Once again, we urge an end to the escalation and a return to dialogue. We call on our Syrian people not to be drawn into attempts to ignite a civil war in our country, as we will all be the losers, while our enemies will exploit the situation for their own interests in Syria."
