Journalist Welat Ekin released and acquitted

ISTANBUL- Journalist Welat Ekin was acquitted of "terrorist organization membership" during the first hearing of the case against him. 

The first hearing of the lawsuit filed against imprisoned journalist Welat Ekin due to "terrorist organization membership" was held at Istanbul 23rd High Criminal Court. 
 
Ekin, who has been held in Marmara Prison No 5 since 20 January, was acquitted and released.
