Operation against IBB: Detention warrant for 49 people

NEWS CENTER - In the 4th wave operation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, detention warrants issued for 49 people, including names close to Ekrem İmamoğlu.
 
A 4th wave operation was carried out within the scope of the investigation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB). In the operation, a detention warrant was issued for 49 people, including IBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's protection manager Mustafa Akın, Private Staff Manager Kadriye Kasapoğlu and KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt.
 
STATEMENT FROM THE CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
 
In the statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the operation, the following was said: “"Regarding the irregularities detected in İstaç, Kiptaş and Road Maintenance Department, on 23/05/2025, an instruction was given to the Istanbul Security Directorate Anti-Financial Crimes Branch Directorate regarding the execution of arrest, detention, search and seizure procedures against 49 persons, including suspects Ali KURT, Ziya Gökmen TOGAY, İbrahim BÜLBÜLLÜ, Nezahat KURT and Mustafa AKIN, and as of the moment, the arrest - detention, search - seizure procedures regarding the suspects are ongoing.."
