WAN - Police broke the soulder and fingers of DBP Party Assembly member Kenan Ildeniz after detaining him. Ildeniz, who could not walk due to heavy torture in detention, was taken to hospital in a wheelchair.
Around 400 people, including 55 children, were detained during the protests against the dismissal of Wan (Van) Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayors Abdullah Zeydan and Neslihan Şedal by the Ministry of Interior and the appointment of trustees in their place. During the protests, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Party Assembly member Kenan Ildeniz was detained for hours in rear-handcuff and dragged on the ground. Ildeniz shoulder and fingers were broken. He was taken to Van Regional Training and Research Hospital.
