NEWS CENTER - Public Prosecutor of Ankara launched an investigation into the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality run by the Republican People's Party (CHP), 13 people were detained. 

 

Public Prosecutor of Ankara launched an investigation against Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which is run by the main opposition CHP. 13 people were detained in the operation with the allegation of "causing public loss in the expenditures related to the concerts organised between 2021-2024".

 

The Public Prosecutor stated that it was determined that the administration had incurred a loss of 154,453,221.60 Turkish Liras in the procurement of 32 concert services, and that the managers serving within the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and some names in private companies that the municipality works with were detained. 

 

The Public Prosecutor noted that the reason for the detentions was the accusation of "Impeachment Inquiry" and "Bid Rigging" and smultaneous detentions were ordered.
