İZMİR - Kani Beko from CHP who evaluated the message of Öcalan and the resistance of the hunger strikers, said: "The essence is to secure the permanent peace in this country. Unless we do that, all the pain and suffering that happened in these lands, will happen again."
The prison hunger strikes demanding the termination of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan initiated by Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair Leyla Güven , was called off with the message of Öcalan. Öcalan made assesments with a seven artivle declaration regarding democratization and social reconciliation.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Izmir MP Kani Beko,evaluated the recently finished hunger strikes and the message of Öcalan.
'THE ESSENCE IS TO SECURE THE PERMANENT PEACE'
Beko who stated that the prisoners addressed the democratic public outdoors through a hunger strike and that they contributed to the peace struggle with their actions, said he also knows the conditions in the prisons since he was also a prisoner for a short time.
Beko who stated that he visited HDP former MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder who as imprisoned recently a while ago, said: "We have to give voice to this struggle of our friends. Their egalitarian, libertarian, democratic understanding should be read well. What is essential in this land is to ensure lasting peace. Unless this happens, many painful incidents that happened will happen again. Turkey has become a huge tangle of problems. A peace table should be established as soon as possible and peace must be guaranteed with an egalitarian, libertarian, democratic and secular constitution."
